The story of Peggy’s Midnight Creations dates back to 1994. At that time, I was 26 years old and engaged to be married. My fiancé was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer just three months into our engagement, and I was to begin my doctoral program in psychology. I postponed entering graduate school to be with him every day during the last days of his life. My fiancé did not live to see our wedding day. After he passed away, I was comforted by my loving parents in my childhood home. Suddenly and unexpectedly, my father, Bill Doherty, a beloved physician, died six weeks later from a heart attack while on a ski chairlift in Vermont. During that time of grieving the two most important men in my life, I was given gifts of angels in many forms, including on cards, pillows, pens, books, pins, and jewelry. I loved being able to wear jewelry representing my two angels in Heaven.
